Getting Started Guide for Employees
Welcome to Tenor! Our platform is designed to help you excel as a leader and communicator. Here's how you can get the most out of your Tenor experience:
When to Use Tenor:
- Regular Practice: We recommend practicing a conversation at least once a week to continually grow your leadership skills.
- Preparing for Difficult Conversations: If you're anticipating a challenging conversation, like a termination, performance review, or giving tough feedback, use Tenor to rehearse and prepare.
Getting Started:
- Sign In: Your organization's admin will have already set up your company's account. Simply sign in to begin.
- Start Practicing: Click on "Start Practice" to dive in.
Choosing a Scenario:
- Select a Category: You'll find a variety of scenario categories reflecting different leadership challenges, such as Goal Setting or Handling Sensitive Issues.
- Pick a Situation: Within each category, choose a specific situation. Read the intro text for context, then click "Start Practice."
During the Conversation:
- Microphone Access: Ensure Tenor has access to your microphone. For optimal experience, we suggest using headphones.
- Speak Clearly: For best results, speak distinctly. Tenor is continuously improving its listening technology.
After the Conversation:
- End and Review: Once you're done, click 'End Conversation'. Your feedback, which might take a moment to generate, will include:
- An overall rating and summary.
- Detailed bullet points highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
- A rubric breakdown explaining your rating.
- An annotated transcript with specific feedback on parts of your conversation.
- Repeat and Improve: Feel free to try again as many times as you need. Practice makes perfect!
Remember, Tenor is here to support your journey in becoming a more effective and confident leader. Happy practicing!
