How to Adjust Your User Settings in Tenor
Your Tenor profile is your personal control center — where you can update details about yourself and fine-tune how you interact with Tenor’s AI characters.
Here’s how to customize your settings for the best experience.
⚙️ What You Can Edit
Under your user profile, you can adjust:
- Name, Job Title, and Time Zone — Keep your profile accurate and aligned with your current role.
- Learning Goals — Personalize your growth journey (for example: “I want to improve clarity and direct, empathetic communication as a first-time manager.”)
You can also modify AI interaction settings that shape how natural or dynamic your conversations feel:
🗣 Voice Response Delay
This controls how quickly the character responds.
- Shorter delays feel snappier and more conversational — but the character may interrupt you more often.
- Longer delays give you extra breathing room before the AI replies.
🔊 Interruption Sensitivity
This determines how easily you can interrupt the character while they’re speaking.
- Higher sensitivity makes it easier to jump in, but may also cause pauses if there’s background noise.
- Lower sensitivity prevents accidental cut-offs, but may make interruptions slightly harder.
Both settings are automatically set to Balanced — a happy medium that works well for most users. But everyone communicates differently, so feel free to tweak these anytime!
